Hello, I am Tarrin. I am a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering. This is my E-Board Q&A Introduction!

-What made you pursue this position?
I wanted to be in this position to be able to better help grow the club into more than just a club but a community where everyone is welcome and encouraged to do well on and off the water.
-When did you start rowing? What was the reason?
I started rowing in spring of 2025 to join my family in the local club, Burnt Hills Rowing Association, and have been hooked ever since. The amount that I am able to push myself both mentally and physically has kept me enjoying and engaged in rowing when I'm home and here at UB.
-What is your fondest rowing memory?
My fondest memory was my first race in fall of 2025 at the Genesee River in Rochester where everyone was so excited and ready to race it encouraged me even more to push myself and see how fast we could go. We ended up winning our race and even beat over half of the times of boats in the varsity race.
-Finally, what is your plan to improve the club?
My plan is mainly outreach and engagement with our community to continue to grow the club for everyone. I would like to run multiple involvement tables on campus to encourage more people to try out the sport that we have all come to know and love.
Overall, I’m excited to see familiar members and new talent this year!
