Hello, I am Calogero, but I go by Sandro. I am a sophomore majoring in Political Science with a minor in Biology, and this is my E-Board Q&A Introduction!

ree

-What made you pursue this position?

My reason for perusing this role was to try and get the rowing club back to the glory days and also to create an environment for competition.

-When did you start rowing? What was the reason?

I started rowing in the start of my freshman year. It was something I have always been interested in doing but was unable to. When the opportunity presented itself at Buffalo, I took it. In addition to these reasons, my dad was an exceptional rower in college, and it was something I always looked up to him for which is one of the major reasons why I joined and started to row.

-What is your fondest rowing memory?

Some of my fondest memories have been with my teammates through jokes at practices, as well as outside of practices. While having those little moments in practice, I also enjoy the breakfasts I have with teammates as well as it is a different environment to be more laxed

-Finally, what is your plan to improve the club?

My plan to improve the club through the next years is going to be advocating for any necessities the club needs to succeed as well as being a strong and competitive teammate to ensure the club can regrow its status as a powerhouse in club rowing.

I am extremely hopefully and excited for this next year! I am determined to see fit that the club is able to become a thriving entity at UB where we can foster an environment with an emphasis on health and learning as well as how that actually translates to the body. Furthermore, I wish to create a competitive atmosphere for future regattas!
