Walk on or experienced: Experienced. I rowed at Cascadilla Boat Club in Ithaca, NY during high school.
Favorite rowing memories: Two stand out the most. The first is a daily memory of my teammate, Jill. Each morning, without fail, Jill would proclaim (usually when we were exhausted and NOT in the mood!) “Guys, we are so BLESSED” and we could collectively groan at her. My other favorite memory is the year we did class skits on our spring break trip. Our class did an aerobics/exercise class- I don’t think we’ve ever laughed so hard. See picture attached.
What rowing accomplishment are you most proud of: Winning Dad Vail’s (our boats race my freshman year and the team championship my senior year)

Current occupation: Gut health geek (nutritional therapy practitioner, functional medicine doctor, herbalist)
Advice to current rowers: I know it sounds corny, but take the time to appreciate your days on the water like my friend Jill did. Your time at UB will fly by before you know it!
