Name: Tarynn Weightman

Were you club or varsity or both: Varsity

Years you rowed at UB: 2 years

Walk on or experienced: experienced (recruited from St. Paul High School/St. Catharines rowing club)

Favorite rowing memory/ies: when I think back to my amazing time at UB rowing.. the last 500 metres of the Dad Vails novice 8+ is my favourite memory that comes to mind .. I still get goosebumps remembering that race, I could call the entire thing back in this moment.. being in last place crossing the first 500m line, to fighting for ANY podium spot & then crossing that finish line 1st by 1.1 seconds! Ask any of those 8 women.. hard 10 for coach lizzo into that last 500 got us our gold medal.. those 8 ladies gave EVERYTHING & together we did it!.. back to HS/club rowing is definitely winning Henley in 2006 in the Jr. men’s 8+

What rowing accomplishment are you most proud of: Henley gold medalist & Dad vails gold medalist .. sophomore captain at UB

Major: Kinesiology & Exercise Physiology

Current occupation: Mom & property manager Advice to current rowers: always give 100% or don’t bother showing up.. listen to your coxie
