UB Rowing: '25-'26 Recap!

Hello everyone! The 2025-2026 Academic Year has been an exciting and fruitful year for the UB Rowing Club, marked by anticipated returns to several previously attended regattas and the revival of the club as a whole.
The achievements accomplished were due to the efforts of all the dedicated athletes and coaches, who have invested valuable time and resources to ensure the utmost success of the club since the year following the pandemic.
As the club is getting ready for an even more vibrant academic year, we would like to give some recaps on what the 2025-2026 academic year has brought to the club.
Fall 2025 Semester: UB Rowing participated in the Head of the Genesee Regatta after its last appearance since 2021. Three boats were sent out with the following lineup:
Men's Varsity 4+
Coxswain: Sydney Zopff
Bow Seat: Jonathan Carmina
2 Seat: William Purcell
3 Seat: Sandro Ehrig
Stroke Seat: Christopher Caiello
Men's Novice 4+ A (1st Place)
Coxswain: Liz Camann
Bow Seat: Jacky Lin
2 Seat: Hartley Semmes
3 Seat: Zeki Ozay
Stroke Seat: Tarrin Kuehner
Men's Novice 4+ B (3rd Place)
Coxswain: Maggie McNamara
Bow Seat: Josh Levine
2 Seat: Zachary Jock
3 Seat: Orrick Pun
Stroke Seat: Andrew Dodson
After their results from the Head of the Genesee, the Novice Men's 4+ A Boat trained for their participation in the prestigious Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. The participation of the Novice 4+ A boat marks 10 years since the University at Buffalo last appeared on the Schuylkill River for this regatta back in 2016.
Spring 2026 Semester:
After a long and intensive training during the winter months, which included training over spring break, the club geared up for the 2026 New York State Collegiate Rowing Championships Regatta. The lineups for this annual major event are as follows:

As the Fall 2026 semester approaches, we look forward to welcoming new members into our amazing group of dedicated athletes. This upcoming year, our focus is on participating in more regattas, pushing our limits on the water, and setting new PRs.
