Name: Brigid McCormack

Major: Industrial Engineering

Are you a walk on or experienced rower? Walk on

Why did you start rowing?

In high school I played lacrosse and soccer, so when I transitioned to college, I was looking for an opportunity where I could have a team dynamic again.

What is your favorite memory?

My favorite memory is winning the novice eight at the Head of the Niagara and also, I enjoyed our pre regatta team spaghetti dinners.

What have you learned about yourself through rowing?

Through rowing you learn it's truly mind over matter, once you set your mind to something you can achieve it as long as you believe in yourself. Rowing is also fun.

What is your favorite thing about rowing that keeps you coming back each day?

I love starting my day with the team and getting a workout in. Additionally, our rowing team makes our big campus small as you can’t go anywhere without seeing a familiar teammates’ face.
